The Mission at Future Shapes is to provide a supportive, highly educational, motivational, and enjoyable environment where each client will achieve their desired health and fitness goals.
About Us:
As Founder & President of Future Shapes for the past 25 years Deirdre “Dee Dee” Antonelli has dedicated herself to providing exceptional, individualized and innovative training to each of her clients, whom she considers part of her extended “fitness family.” Through her company, Futures Shapes, she has brought together highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic trainers enabling hundreds of Future Shapes clients to achieve their individual health and fitness goals. A sought after expert and in the field of fitness and body building – DeeDee was one of the first woman athletes to be featured in the unprecidented book “Pumping Iron 2” – one of the first books of it’s kind to highlight and professionalize women’s body building. As a professional body-builder, DeeDee also graced the cover of “Zoom” magazine. She has been featured in Boston Herald, Boston Globe, Boston Magazine and Newton Magazine. She is also a featured personal trainer on “The Learning Channel’s (TLC) new weekly television show “The Proposal.” She brings her years of experience and education in exercise science and personal fitness training, continually adding to the depth of training and services offered at Future Shapes. Most of all, DeeDee takes great pride in the long term relationships she has developed throughout the fitness industry as well as with each one of her clients. She holds certifications by the American College of Sports Medicine and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
Future Shapes trainers are licensed physical therapists and athletic trainers or hold degrees in a health or fitness field. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to each client they serve by equipping them with the tools they need to achieve their desired health and fitness goals.

Future Shapes Newton is conveniently located just off Rte 9 in Newton Highlands, our 2000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility features top-quality fitness equipment including treadmills, bikes, elliptical units, free weights, exercise balls and several Cybex machines. The Future Shapes gym, therapy room and super clean on-site shower and changing facilities is the place to get serious about personal fitness.
Future Shapes Sherborn located at 25 North Main street in Sherborn Center. The Sherborn facility is about an 800 sq.ft. facility with free weight, kettlebells, suspension trainer, treadmill, bike and many more toys to get and keep you fit.
Future Shapes Wellesley is located at 200 Linden Street in the Fitness Club For Women. The Fitness Club For Women is a fully equipped gym offering group fitness, pilates, spinning, and personal training.

Policies & Procedures:
Cancellation Policy
Future Shapes requires a 24-hour advanced notice when you must cancel a scheduled session. The applicable session charge will apply to any session that is cancelled with less than 24-hour notice. Remember, no one benefits from a cancelled session! When you schedule your sessions with Future Shapes, you can be assured that your trainer will be at the gym or your home at the appointed time. To ensure the quality of all sessions, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced. We also appreciate advanced notice of any variations in your regular schedule. Future Shapes will also give advance notice if scheduled sessions need to be changed or re-scheduled.
What To Wear : your workout will be much for productive and comfortable if you dress appropriately. Lightweight, breathable clothing is best for exercising. Anything from shorts and your favorite cotton t-shirt to tank tops and cotton lycra exercise-gear will do. Remember, comfort is the name of the game. The more comfortable you feel exercising - the more likely it will be that you will continue with your workout program. Forget the image of svelt models working out in skin-tight apparel. Dress intelligently and comfortably. Quality, supportive sneakers are also required. If you would like to discuss the proper footwear for your particular workout - please feel free to consult with a Future Shapes trainer. We are happy to assist you with making your workout as easy and as comfortable as possible!
Child-Friendly Gym:
Newton: Although your workout should be a time of focused concentration on yourself and your activities we know that it is not always possible to arrange for a baby-sitter. Although Future Shapes does not provide child-care services, our gym is equipped with a designated space for children that includes a "kid's table" and Video viewing area. Please remember that you are respsonsible for your child at all times while in the gym.
Wellesley: The Fitness Club For Women offers child care with wonderful instructors to ensure a safe and enjoyable time for your children.
Fuel for Exercising: We recommend eating a light meal or a small snack approximately 1 hour before training. Fruit or protein are always good choices. We also recommend drinking before, during and after each workout. Our gym is equipped with a filtered water station and you can always bring a water bottle to use throughout your training session.
Extra Bonus Workout!:
Included in the cost of each individual training session is the use of our gym for cardio workouts (treadmills, ellipticals, etc) and stretching. You are welcome to some in 30 minutes prior to your workout and stay 30 minutes after workout. Clients who are working out with Future Shapes trainers have priority use of the cardio equipment. Please be aware and courteous to those who are training. You are responsible for your own safety when using the cardio machine and stretching before or after any workout.
